This year, Panadura Sports Club proudly marked its 100-year anniversary, a testament to its rich legacy in Sri Lankan cricket and its contribution to nurturing generations of talented players.

A Grand Celebration of Legacy and Cricket

The centenary celebrations of Panadura Sports Club were a momentous occasion, bringing together past and present players, officials, and well-wishers to honour a century of sporting excellence. The event was graced by the esteemed President of Sri Lanka Cricket and the President of the Asian Cricket Council, Mr. Shammi Silva, along with members of the SLC Executive Committee and officials, whose presence and unwavering support added immense value to this historic moment. We extend our deepest gratitude to Sri Lanka Cricket for their continued commitment to the development of Panadura Sports Club and its role in the national cricketing landscape.

This milestone would not have been possible without the unwavering efforts of those who have led the club over the years. A special appreciation goes to Mr. Jayantha Silva, President of Panadura Sports Club, for his leadership and vision. Our gratitude also extends to our Immediate Past President and Sri Lanka Cricket Vice President Mr. Ravin Wickramaratne, for his dedicated service and contributions to the club’s progress.

Additionally, we recognize the tireless work of the Secretary, Mr. Saman Kumara, and the Panadura Sports Club Executive Committee, whose efforts have been instrumental in shaping the club’s journey over the years. We were honoured to welcome legends such as Sanath Jayasuriya, Dilruwan Perera, Ravindra Pushpakumara, Ruwan Kalpage, Upul Chandana, Ajantha Mendis, Upul Tharanga, Chamara Silva, Tharanga Paravawithana, Hasantha Fernando, Charitha Buddhika and Indika De Saram.

Their participation added prestige to our celebrations, serving as an inspiration for the aspiring cricketers of Panadura SC. Their stories, achievements, and unwavering support for grassroots cricket continue to motivate the next generation of players.
